Patient care

The Charité has assumed responsibility for the medical care of refugees since September 2015. Under Charité leadership, Charité employees and volunteers provide care at different places of the city and the Charité management supports all relevant activities at the district and regional level.

But Charité employees are also active outside of Germany, e.g. in the Global South. In ten hospital partnerships funded by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development as well as other projects, they support capacity development in patient safety and other fields.
