Dr Thomas Zoller is a senior clinician-scientist and research group leader at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin working at the Department of Infectious Diseases, Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. He started his career in research in the field of imported infectious diseases and made major contributions to improve artemisinin treatment of malaria. As a specialist in respiratory and critical care, he developed a second research agenda in the field of lung health including infectious and chronic non-infectious diseases of relevance in the context of global health. His research group leads projects on non-communicable diseases in Tanzania, contributes actively to network research in TropNet and carries out projects in the field of Chagas disease.
