Charite Center for Global Health team was a part of World Health Summit 2023, a pivotal gathering that drew over 3,000 participants on-site, 12,000 online, and featured 370 speakers from across the globe. The summit, themed "A Defining Year for Global Health Action," emphasized the urgency of international cooperation amidst global challenges. With a focus on addressing imminent health threats and fostering hope, the summit showcased dedication from diverse actors, notably featuring more women than men on stage and in the audience—an inspiring milestone.

Among many other Charite Members our Scientific Director, Prof. Dr. Beate Kampmann, delved into topics like Innovative Academic Cooperations and Implementation of Vaccine Manufacturing in Africa, while Prof. Dr. Christian Drosten contributed insights on Learning from COVID-19 for Future Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness, and Response.

Additionally, our engagement extended to collaborative events organized by partners and alliances, including the Women in Global Health Meet and Greet, the Kick-Off for Pathways to Inter- and Transdisciplinary Research in Global Health by the Berlin University Alliance (BUA), and the Research on Digital Solutions in Global Health hosted by the Global Digital Health Lab at Charité Center for Global Health. Furthermore, our involvement in Tomorrow's Leaders—an initiative connecting and empowering youth advocates, hosted by bvmd—highlighted our commitment to nurturing the next generation of global health leaders.

As the summit concluded, we extend our heartfelt thanks to WHS for providing a platform to exchange knowledge, insights, and solutions. Looking ahead, we remain dedicated to collaborative efforts that prioritize health on the global political agenda.
